Beginnings...

So I'm just posting now to make official the first public information about my new game that I'm programming.  It's not very far along yet, but it'll be building on my codebase that I established with another project of mine that is currently on the back burner: My Final Fantasy 6 3D Remake.  (It's still getting passive work done on it, but I really am not much in the mood for it lately;;) My new game is codenamed MetroidVaniaHunter, and as you can guess from the name, it's taking many different elements from Metroid, Castlevania, and Monster Hunter.  I have done a lot of the pen & paper "ideas" listed out- charts and graphs showing importan

Vi was probably one of my fav FF's and this does sound all good and well, sorry to break it to you BUT; if square got wind of this they would tell you to cut the project asap. A mod group remade golden eye on the source engine not too long back, they did it all for free, posted it for free and nintendo almost took them to court over it.

Besides FFV remake is next year and the FFVI will be remade on the DS by 2011. Its good for practice though ^^
Yah, I probably should've posted about that before somebody commented on it. The game will not be released to the public. The FFVI3D Remake is being done entirely for myself, as I don't wish to step on Squenix's toes.

If they happen to be drunk one day, and allow me to publicly release it, then I shall, but I'm about 99% certain that this will remain unreleased.
i wouldn't give it 1% tbh, nothing to do with your ability to remake it; more so the fact that square are already doing it themselves. It's about money not art these days, thats how SE works, RIP squaresoft is all ill say...
Well sorta.. I mean, they are well known for just throwing around C&D's as if they were going out of style.. Just to protect their IPs (and rightfully so! But allow the fans some creative outlets~).. I mean, look at all the other remakes of various Squenix games. A couple for Chrono Trigger, and some ROM hacks for various FF titles as well.

I think it's more the fact that they just don't want anybody doing it, regardless of whether they are or not. I'm fairly confident that I've been working on my FFVI3D Remake since well before they'd even considered it.

I love ffvi, keep up the good work
Haha thanks. The project is slow-going, but it's definitely not dead.
